Heart of Betrayal

Lia is trapped in Venda and must find a way to get back to her kingdom with the love of her life Rafe. But Kaden is determined to win her back. Of course neither of them may have a say if the Komizar has anything to say about it. He sees the value in keeping the princess for himself and using her as a symbol of hope for his people, In this sequel to Kiss of Deception, the stakes are higher than ever. One false move and all Lia loves will be destroyed. She must find a way to play the Komizar's game until she and Rafe can figure out a way to get free. But the longer Lia is in Venda, the more she sees a people that need her. Her gift of the sight shows her things as they could be. And her family has made her public enemy number one if she tries to go home. Where does Lia belong when everyone wants a piece of her? Will she be able to rise as a princess of a new people or continue to be used as a pawn by those more powerful? I love the characters in these books. Lia is a strong, smart, courageous woman. Rate is a dashing prince with a heart that beats for only Lia. Kaden, the misunderstood assassin who want something for himself. Aster, the serving girl determined to save Lia even if it puts her in great danger. Pauline, the loyal friend who is the only one who can convince Lia's family of what happened to her. They all have such life to them. This book made me gasp in horror at my desk during silent reading and tears may have formed. I look forward to reading the next book in the trilogy and hope for a happily ever after... but I'm sure there will be some drama along the way! Happy reading my friends!
