Sunny is an
African American Albino who has relocated from the US to Nigeria, where she was
born. She can’t go in the sun andhas a hard time making friends. That is until
one day Orlu introduces her to Chichi and her new life begins. She finds out
she has spiritual powers, she is a free agent and has magical powers. She and
her friends find that they are destined to catch a black hat serial killer who is
killing children in the town. They must learn to use their powers to work
together to take down an evil that wants to be unleashed onto the earth. The
team, along with Sasha, each possess a skill that will help them face down the
spirit. Sunny discovers her true self and where her powers come from as she
navigates the shadow world. This book was different than books I usually read.
It was an interesting world, filled with strange and fascinating things. I
don’t know much about juju and voodoo, but reading about it was engaging. Happy
reading my friends.
